I will be leaving on a church mission trip to Guatemala in exactly 26 days. We will be working at an orphanage and I am pretty excited that we will be leaving the country again. The Middle East was really fun so I bet now that I can pay attention to culture more than pigeons I will enjoy it more.
I am coming to the end of a book on culture that I have to read in order to go on the trip and it my mom and I have been going to meetings at the church office so we have a good idea of what it will be like down there. Apparently they don't really pay attention to time so if they ask you to be at X place at 5:00 am you can expect them anywhere from an hour early to an hour late.
I started this blog so that I can keep track of my thoughts before the trip, on the trip, and after the trip. Right now I am excited and I can't wait to go. And of the sixteen-hundred dollars needed to go on the trip I only have about three-hundred left. I am going to start mowing my grandfather's (on my dad's side) lawn for money and I think my grandmother (on my mom's side) still needs her attic cleaned out so that should get some good money.
